any interface mods?
i find the interface in this game to be rather clumsy, especially for a monk in regards to healing
is there anything that cleans this clunky monster up a bit? |

Press F11, and choose the interface tab while you are logged on a character. You can move and resize everything from there. The control tabs will take care of any keyboard shortcut issues you might find need fixing.

I find the interface to be one of the best there is out there. In answer to your question though, I don't think those are allowed. It would be easy for people to steal your account using these mods wouldn't it?

There are no interface mods for GW *period*
You can customize a lot though from that option menu. Not only can you move stuff around, you can increase or decrease the size of different features or remove them altogether. And really, the interface isn't that clumsy, especially with all the new timers they just added for hex/enchant/and preperation durations. |

hmm i am used to more streamlined interfaces for hardcore pvp, how anybody uses this one is beyond me, but i just started gw, so i suppose i will have to get used to it
way too much uneeded space used on several of the windows, and i dont think i can independently resize various windows? can i? and no, i have used UI mods in EVERY mmorpg i have ever played, nobody has hacked my account as my girlfriend keeps reminding me "we just spent over 100 dollars on this game, so you better like it" how you people deal with this primitive stuff is beyond me |

If you don't like it...don't play it.
You haven't played PvP so you wouldn't know what it is like as you say so yourself. To independently change the interface goto Menu -> Options -> Interface and go wild. Just because no one hacked your account doesn't mean it can't happen btw. |

Lol, you cannot be hacked by an interface mod if you know what your doing. If your not very smart and get sent a keylogger on the other hand... ya your gonna get hacked.
I don't find the interface bad at all, although it has alot of space taken up that doesnt need to be. Would basicly like a slimmer version of it without all the fancyness. EDIT: Never noticed you could change the window sizes of each window, this should help alot... Last edited by Jimmy Evol; Apr 11, 2007 at 07:44 PM // 19:44.. |

spare me the if you dont like it quit stuff, k
if this is your first mmorpg god bless, but dont attack those who are used to better and asking simple questions regarding the use of mods that every experienced mmorpg player uses to augment the interface i bought the game, i have the right to complain if i find the interface lacking, i didnt say the game sucked, or that the people who play it sucked if it doesnt suppurt mods then say so or dont, but dont bore me with your smarmy responses, i understood the complexity of the moving the interface windows via the options from the first 5 minutes i booted the game up as i said before you posted your witty comments Last edited by sabutai; Apr 11, 2007 at 07:33 PM // 19:33.. |

There are no official mods. The use of an unofficial mod will be against the rules of conduct as posted on the main site http://guildwars.com/support/legal/rulesofconduct.php

Guild Wars uses a very refined streaming process. Hundreds of thousands of Mods requesting server side information would have a huge and negative impact.
Additionally, mods have to be "regulated" and policed, something ANet can't afford to do. And, lastly, after playing WoW for 2 years, I was a heavy mod user: I had mods that would target the enemy with the lowest health that was casting, I had mods that would apply the most efficient heal when I clicked the health bar of the target. The point is some mods made gameplay way too easy and made for an uneven playing field. Keeping your mods up to date was a game in and of itself and a royal pain. Running 120+ mods that you had to change or update each major patch kinda sucked, but once you started using mods, you are hooked. ANet's game philosophy is simple: Play the game and have confidence that every one else is playing the same game along with you. The point of Guild Wars is that it is the skill of the player that matters. Not how many and how up-to-date your mods are. I like it this way. As many people have already said: F11 -> Interface will allow you to fully customise your interface to the maximum of Guild Wars' abilities. |
